<p style="text-align: center;">President Obama stuck with his original plan to visit the Kennedy Space Center despite the launch being scrubbed.  The entire first family made the trip.  Obama met with the crew of STS-134 and Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, who was seriously wounded in a shooting this past January.  Giffords made the trip to Florida to see her husband Mark Kelly, rocket into space aboard the penultimate mission of the space shuttle program.</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">Being a bit of an aviation nerd, having a chance to photograph Air Force One was a pretty cool experience.  I was one of only two still photographers hanging out at the airport all day.  I wish they would have let us just hang out on the tarmac all day instead of shuttling us back into a holding room.</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">When I last photographed President Obama back in April I didn&#8217;t have the chance to cover his arrival and departure in Air Force One.  When I heard that he was coming to Kansas City, I knew this was my second chance.  I brought along my Polaroid and and decided to make two photos of Air Force One and then present them side by side.  Watch for a later post with a few more images for the arrival and departure.</p>
