I went and saw Jenny Owen Youngs this past Saturday up at Schubas Tavern up in Chicago.  Awesome little venue, someplace that I definitely want to return to for another show.

Sorry the picture is quite a bit noisy, blame my SD750 for that…

The canal boat that has been in the works for La Salle, IL finally arrived today.  The boat arrived at the park on a tractor-trailer and was picked up and lowered into the canal with a crane.
The vessel is named The Volunteer and will begin taking patrons on an approximately hour long cruse on the I&M Canal beginning at the end of the month.

So I though that I’d dig a little and pull out some kinda older photos.  The first coming from my trip to Philmont the summer before my freshmen year in college and the others coming from a mid-semester trip to Kentucky to see Damien Rice.  That trip included a stop in Metropolis, IL so that everyone could experience the giant superman statute in their downtown.
