The Flaming Lips played an awesome show on 9th Street over the weekend and I had the opportunity to photograph the show.  I really enjoy shooting concerts and wish that I was able to shoot more of them.

I went and saw Jenny Owen Youngs this past Saturday up at Schubas Tavern up in Chicago.  Awesome little venue, someplace that I definitely want to return to for another show.

Sorry the picture is quite a bit noisy, blame my SD750 for that…

Up next is a trip back down to Missouri to visit some friends and for another concert in Chicago.  For now it’s back to work tomorrow.

Up later this week is a trip to St Louis, weather permitting, with the softball team for a double header against St Louis University.  Then Friday is day one of the Tom Botts Track Invite, I can’t wait for an entire day in the sun (fingers crossed) shooting track.

A friend and I made the drive to Tulsa, OK to see Wilco at Cain’s Ballroom.  The concert was amazing and the best thing was that they were taping it for a DVD that is coming out at some point in the near future.
Nothing beats being front row.
I took these pictures with my Canon SD750, which for one reason or another started acting a little funky towards the end, over exposing some things, oh well…
