President Obama stuck with his original plan to visit the Kennedy Space Center despite the launch being scrubbed.  The entire first family made the trip.  Obama met with the crew of STS-134 and Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, who was seriously wounded in a shooting this past January.  Giffords made the trip to Florida to see her husband Mark Kelly, rocket into space aboard the penultimate mission of the space shuttle program.

The crew ended up doing what amounted to a full rehearsal of walkout today.  The launch was scrubbed about 15 minutes after they left for the pad.  The crew stood and waved to those gathered outside of the astrovan for a good five minutes, which made for some nice pictures.  The launch has been scrubbed for at least 72 hours.

Just another day down at the Kennedy Space Center with another event delayed by rain.  A series of thunderstorms have rolled through the area and delayed RSS rollback.
