So my week in Florida ends without seeing Discovery take flight. Here are two more shots of the shuttle from yesterday when I was inside the pad perimeter helping pick up some remote cameras. NASA announced that the next launch attempt will be at the end of November into the first week of December, I guess I need to figure out how to get back down…

After being canceled yesterday, the retractible service structure rollback finally took place tonight. The launch is currently set for 3:29pm eastern on Thursday, but the weather isn’t looking all that good in the morning. I shot quite a few polaroids today, but you’ll have to wait until I get back to Missouri to scan them and put them up.

Got out to the Kennedy Space Center early this morning to head out close to Pad 39A during the time allotted for remote camera set-up.

Space Shuttle Discovery, covered by the Rotating Service Structure, sits on Pad 39A in the early hours of Tuesday, November 2, 2010. The Rotating Service Structure will be rolled back tonight starting at 7PM Eastern.
