I had the opportunity to shoot a high school girls state basketball tournament game tonight after softball.  I covered the Crane / Westran Class 2 Semifinal game for the Springfield News-Leader.
Unfortunately Crane lost tonight, but the experience was fun.  I forgot how much fun shooting high school basketball can be, especially the state tournament.
UPDATE
Here’s the link to the story in today’s Springfield News-Leader

This afternoon the Tiger’s played OUTSIDE in beautiful weather that made for some nice pictures.  Missouri took on North Dakota State and the University of Wisconsin on Day One of the Mizzou Classic coming out victorious in both games.
Tomorrow it’s onto more softball at 1pm, hopefully the weather continues to cooperate…Â
This last photo has a little story behind it… Â Kathryn Poet had hit the ball towards left field, I was shooting with my 300 and following her as she ran towards first. Â The ball was overthrown hit the wall, which is only about 3 feet tall, directly to the right of where I was standing. Â Thats the closest call I’ve had so far this season, hopefully I won’t have too many more.

A friend and I made the drive to Tulsa, OK to see Wilco at Cain’s Ballroom. Â The concert was amazing and the best thing was that they were taping it for a DVD that is coming out at some point in the near future.
Nothing beats being front row.
I took these pictures with my Canon SD750, which for one reason or another started acting a little funky towards the end, over exposing some things, oh well…
