I made the drive back to Columbia after the morning session of wrestling finished yesterday to shoot the final home meet of the season against Arizona State.
Then I drove back to St Louis to get ready for the final day of NCAA Wrestling.
Hours spent driving: Â 10
Miles driven: Â 637

So here are a few more pictures from tonight’s session of the NCAA’s. Â All three of these images were made on a Mk III. Â
Now for a little bit more on the event as a whole… Â The way everything is setup, there are three photo boxes at each end of the arena with eight mats set up. Â It makes for a very nice setup for watching wrestling, but not too conducive for making pictures. Â If the match that you’re shooting is on one of the end mats then it’s okay, but any of the four center ones and you’re in trouble.
I can’t wait to head back tomorrow morning bright and early.
Hours spent driving: 4
Miles driven so far: 255

Day one and it’s chaos.  It’s a workout scrambling from one of the the arena to the other to cover the Missouri contingent. Â
I decided to do an update of mostly non-action this time around. Â After I do some more editing I’ll put up another post with a few more pictures or check out the gallery on

For now, it’s back to Columbia to pack up for spring break and get ready to come back here tomorrow morning for more wrestling.
