February, 2008 Archives

Softball season is finally upon us.  It’s hard to believe that it’s here already.  The Tigers won both games with scores of 10-0 and 6-0.

For the second game I set up a remote with a 20D and 16-35 to the left of home.  The pictures I got from it were pretty good, even one with ball on bat.
The rest of this week brings gymnastics and a home softball tournament which will hopefully bring outside games.

The Tigers dropped a closely contested game in the final 30 seconds tonight.  It looked as if the game might go into overtime, but sadly OSU scored on their final possession leaving 1.7 seconds for the Tigers to take a shot.

I’m only gonna put up one picture from tonight, because I really like this one for some reason.  I caught at least one strobe, maybe even two in this frame from my floor remote.  I converted it to black and white, made some minor adjustments in camera RAW and the cropped the image a little tighter.
It’s on to softball tomorrow.  The Tigers have their home opener against St. Louis tomorrow evening at the other poorly lit indoor venue on campus…  I can’t wait for it to warm up a bit so the games can be outside…

The Missouri All Comers indoor track meet was today.

Such a nightmare shooting wise, the Hearnes Center Fieldhouse is such a dungeon, but I think I came out with a few nice frames.
