I went downtown yesterday to do a little bit of Christmas shopping and to wander around and take some pictures.  Even though it was a little hazy most of the day, the light was amazing.

It was nice to be in Millennium Park in the middle of the day and not have it be crawling with people.

This was looking south from Wacker Drive, just to the west of the Hard Rock Hotel.

I was hoping there’d be at least a little ice on the lake, but I guess I’ll have to make another trip up after the harbor freezes over a bit.

I decided it was time to get out my tilt and shift lens and have some fun when the Tigers took on the Purdue Boilermakers on Saturday afternoon at Mizzou Arena.  The Tigers were overcome by a late surge from the Boilermakers but came back late in the 2nd half to win 73-63.

Gymnastics season is upon us.  The Tigers held the annual inter-squad meet this evening.  Now if only I had an 85 f/1.2…
